So however you get your designs to the machine, you should have some way to do that in your machine's language. I'm assuming that PEDesign is made to work with your machine. That's actually the default in my program, since the program and machine are made to work together. When I go to write the design to the flash card, I write it as a JEF. My machine uses JEF, and I have a flash card, like you use in a digital camera, to take files from the computer to the machine. I use Janome Digitizer Pro, which will then save the file as JAN. I usually am not, so then I go into the program and change stuff around, like stitch type, density, stitch angle, etc. Just a warning, you may or may not be happy with the result. When you make it into a stitch file, that is called auto-digitizing. If I try to import a jpg, I will get that unidentifiable file message. I don't know PEDesign, but I do know that my Janome Digitizer Pro will only deal with bmp's. Convert it to as few colors as you can to make it out well, even though that's going to look like a paint-by-number picture. First, make sure your jpg or bmp is clean. Nurselilly, did you get this problem solved? You are kind of jumping in off the deep end in digitizing (not a bad thing, that's what I did).
